Pupils take on the role of a Premier Leage media and communications team.
Summary
This pack focuses on the key life skills of communication, teamwork, oracy and leadership. Pupils will take on the role of a Premier League media and communications team and be responsible for promoting, covering and reporting on a real-life Premier League match. Pupils will work as a team with four different roles, with each pupil leading a different phase.
This pack has been developed in collaboration with the National Literacy Trust.

Pupils will:
- select and use appropriate language to help communicate clearly with others
- identify language techniques for persuasion and summarising
- use tone, volume and intonation to make meaning clearer
- participate in discussions, presentations, performances, role play and improvisation
- develop their reading, writing and speaking skills, and understand how they can use these in exciting real-life jobs.

Media Match Day presentation
In this presentation, pupils will learn about different roles in a media and communications team and explore this by taking on their roles, promoting, covering and reporting on a real-life Premier League match.
Starter - Match Hype worksheet
In this activity, pupils will write an advert script to promote the match and build the pre-match hype.
Activity 1 - Live Blog worksheet
In this activity, pupils will write a blog post for key moments in the match.
Activity 2 - Pitch-Side Interview worksheet
In this activity, pupils will reflect on the match and write questions to practise interviewing with their peers.
Activity 3 - Match Report worksheet
In this activity, pupils will work together in groups to write a match report.
